the item which i recieved seems to be faulty, it fits nicely with Nikon lense but doesnt fit on Olympus 4/3 mount camera properly.

The first time I used the adapter it worked great. However, it was a little difficult to release from my Nikon lens. The second time I attached the adapter to the lens, it wouldn't come off. There is a silver lever which has to be depressed to release the lens and as much as I press the release lever, in every possible direction, it will not come off my lens. I emailed the company explaining this exactly and they sent me back an email telling to to press the release lever. Clearly they didn't bother to even read my email. They must have a ready made reply they send when people have trouble figuring out that they have to use the release lever to disconnect the adapter from the lens. I sent out a second email and have not heard back from them. If you buy this product, do not connect to an expensive lens that you intend to use again on your DSLR. There is no way that I can see to disconnect the adapter from the lens if the lever doesn't work. So I now have a nikon DSLR lens that can only be used on my micro four thirds body.

As an inexpensive way to mount my old Nikkor lenses onto my m4/3 camera, this adapter does what I expected. If you're using a larger/heavier lens with this mount, there tends to be a little flex at the connection points. If you're holding the camera in your hands it shouldn't be a huge issue since you'll likely be holding onto your lens for focusing (all focusing is manual). But on a tripod, make sure you're using a lens with a tripod collar. Cost was $30 when I bought mine.

One other thing to note, this adapter really only works with lenses that have aperture rings on them. For most (all?) of the newer Nikkor lenses, you'll need one of the much more expensive adapters that has the ability to manually adjust the internal aperture control.
